When it comes to online dating, only you can make it happen. There is no reason why you shouldnt be able to find a perfect partner or even soul mate online.

The problem is that many of us just sit around being unhappy & lonely and think that love will find them when it wont... you have to make an effort to find someone special.

Online dating is something that anyone can do, firstly you will need to build a good, honest profile telling people about yourself..be sure to list all of your good points, do you have a good sense of humor? do you like kids? do you like pets? do you like to be adventurous? generous? are you caring? Explain your hobbies and things you enjoy such as cooking, walking, travelling, eating out etc etc

The only way for others to get to know you is through your profile so make sure its right and spend a bit of time on it.

Be sure to be positive and upbeat when writing a profile. Positive people attract more interest than negative people.

It is important to spend a good amount of time developing a profile.

Spend a couple of hours a week looking for people that you would like to meet.

Send messages to the people you like and tell them what you like about their profile and/or picture and write a little bit about yourself to them.

It is also very important you be yourself and to be honest about the type of person that you are looking for..Try not to be too picky, if you are 58 and retired you cannot just go for ladies that have high paid jobs and that are under 35..

Firstly there is not so much pressure, as sending messages online are much easier than talking to someone on the phone or face to face, especially if you are a shy person....

Make sure you upload a good, clear photo of yourself for others to see, a couple of photos would be even better , photos with a warm, friendly smile and more natural photos will get a better response than an unfriendly passport type photo.

Profiles without a picture will not get very much response if any at all as people want to put a face to the profile they are reading.

It doesnt matter if you are not stunning.
